How It Started

Mug Monitor started as a hobby project. I wanted really good connectivity—a connection that would last all day AND I wanted to quickly see the temperature/status without having to open the app (silent notifications)! I also made sure the mug would seamlessly re-connect if I left the house and came back. After a few months of working on the Android app, everything was working exactly how I liked it. I even added a bonus feature to pulse my mug LED color when the temp was ready (to quickly catch my eye). But then, my iOS family members wanted a similar experience... so I spent several more months getting it working for them as well. Now, it's available for everyone who takes their hot beverages seriously.
